Unplanned outages
There may be times when we experience service interruptions or need to undertake unscheduled maintenance.
You can check the ABRS online dashboard for availability and performance of ABRS online. The dashboard uses real time data to tell you if ABRS online is functioning normally or experiencing issues.
Planned maintenance
Maintenance activities may affect some (or all) of the services available on our website. Expected dates and times are listed below, Australian Eastern Daylight-saving Time (AEDT).

Full or limited functionality may be returned earlier if the system maintenance is proceeding ahead of schedule.
Christmas Closedown
For Christmas Closedown 2024, the ATO will close its normal operations from Tuesday 24 December 2024 from midday, with business resuming on the first working day after New Year's Day (i.e. Thursday 2 January 2025).
During this period, there is no system support until the ATO reopens its offices on 2 January 2025.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with ABRS online, it may be a problem with your browser or connection.
You can resolve common issues by:
- checking your internet connection
- refreshing your browser
- installing the latest version of a supported browser
- closing all open browsers and opening a new browser
- selecting Log in.
